Ihre Aufgabenschwerpunkte

SCHERDEL Sales & Technology, Inc., located in Muskegon, MI since 1999, with a Metro Detroit office in Brighton, MI, is a subsidiary of SCHERDEL GmbH, located in Marktredwitz in the state of Bavaria, Germany. We are currently managed by the fourth generation of the founding family with sales and manufacturing activities at 42 sites in various European countries, North and South America and in Asia. Your Responsibilities

  • Manufacture, maintain, repair, and optimize stamping and forming tools.
  • Interpret technical drawings and produce or modify tool components according to specifications.
  • Set up and operate conventional and CNC-controlled machine tools.
  • Perform dimensional, functional, and quality inspections using standard measuring equipment.
  • Analyze tooling issues, conduct test runs, and ensure reliable tool performance.
  • Document maintenance, repair, and tooling activities.
  • Support continuous improvement and optimization projects within the tool shop.
  • Adhere to all quality, environmental, and safety standards. 

Ihr Profil

  • Completed apprenticeship as a Tool and Die Maker, Toolmaker, or a comparable technical qualification.
  • Several years of experience in toolmaking are an advantage.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and confidently use precision measuring instruments.
  • Experience with conventional and/or CNC-controlled machinery.
  • Independent, structured, and detail-oriented working style with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills and a high sense of responsibility.
  • Hands-on mentality and enthusiasm for practical work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Physical stamina and flexibility to support a variety of tasks within the tool shop.
